A GOOD DAY....UNTIL................

My day started out so good. My friend Jeanette and I did a good fast walk and then did our Tuesday exercise class (abs and ball). I hurried home and showered and dressed and made it to the Tuesday Lunch Bunch right on time. We haven't met for the last 3 weeks because so many of us have been either out of town or had guests in town. It was great getting together again. After lunch, I made a quick stop by the house to pick up some keys so I could check on one of our condos while I was out running

Alas, the good news is tempered somewhat by a less robust forecast for 2009, but you can be sure there will be much gnashing of teeth knowing the owner of Fox News, among other media and entertainment outlets, is raking in the dough.

The Conference Board's Employment Trends Index continued a now year-long decline in July, suggesting even more softening to come in the labor market. The index fell in July to 112.1, down 0.9 percent from June's revised figure of 113.1, and down more than 7.5 percent from July 2007.
